Hello!
We are Amanda and Will Lewis and we started Nevern Flowers in March 2022. We originally cleared the bramble covered paddock next to our house to start a vegetable garden, but after being inspired by a good friend of ours who had a cutting garden in Herefordshire (Wills home county) we expanded our plans!
We are a small scale flower grower, located in the north of the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park. We grow on roughly 1/3 of an acre, and use as much of our homemade compost as we can make, and feed our beds with muck taken from the sheep sheds. We don't use pesticides, and wildflowers and pollinator friendly plants are set aside to encourage wildlife.
Will has been farming alongside his mother (who is an expert gardener) his whole life, and claims a keen disinterest in everything!! He is however very practical and has had some great ideas for reusing existing items found on the farm.
Amanda grew up in neighboring Ceredigion and has always loved growing vegetables and flowers and had a pot of something pretty growing nearby. Setting up and starting the cutting garden was an absolute joy and has sparked a real passion for growing flowers.
We are 'assisted' in all of our growing efforts by our two sons Rhodri and Llywelyn, our freshly hatched daughter Carys, and our two collies Boris and Jim.
Thank you for visiting our website and hope to hear from you soon.
Helo!
Amanda a Will Lewis ydym ni a fe sefydlodd Blodau Nanhyfer ym mis Mawrth 2022. Fe wnaethon ni glirio’r cae fach wrth ymyl ein tŷ i ddechrau gardd lysiau, ond, ar ôl cael ein hysbrydoli gan ffrind sy’n tyfu blodau yn Sir Henffordd (Sir catrefol Will) tyfodd ein cynlluniau braidd!
Rydym yn dyfwr blodau fach, wedi’i lleoli yng ngogledd Parc Cenedlaethol Sir Benfro. Rydyn ni'n tyfu ar tua 1/3 o erw, ac yn defnyddio cymaint o'n compost cartref ag y gallwn ni, ac yn bwydo ein gwelyau gyda tail a gymerwyd o'r siediau defaid. Nid ydym yn defnyddio plaladdwyr, ac mae blodau gwyllt a phlanhigion sy’n gyfeillgar i beillwyr yn cael eu plannu i annog bywyd gwyllt.
Mae Will wedi bod yn ffermio ochr yn ochr â'i fam (sy'n arddwr arbenigol) ar hyd ei oes, ac yn honni diffyg diddordeb ym mhopeth!! Fodd bynnag, mae'n ymarferol iawn ac yn meddwl am syniadau gwych ar gyfer ailddefnyddio eitemau sydd eisoes yn bodoli ar y fferm.
yfodd Amanda lan ger Aberaeron yn Sir Ceredigion. Lle bynnag yr oedd hi'n byw, oedd potyn o rywbeth pert yn tyfu gerllaw, ond tyfu llysiau oedd pleser gyntaf hi yn byd garddio. Roedd sefydlu yr ardd dorri yn bleser pur, ac wedi tanio angerdd am tyfi blodau fel hyn
Cawn ein 'cynorthwyo' yn ein holl ymdrechion garddio gan ein dau fab Rhodri a Llywelyn, Carys ein merch, a'n dau gi Boris a Jim.
Diolch am ymweld â'n gwefan a gobeithio clywed wrthoch yn fuan.
